@@ElsaMcTaggartMusic I found you initially when I looked up Road to the Isles, after hearing it in a 1942 film. It was being sung in the background by a group of marching soldiers. I couldn't remember the name of it, but knew it was something about the Isles. It reminded me of my dad. You have a beautiful clear voice and it was lovely seeing you sitting singing in your kitchen in Lewis. I went to college in the 80's with some girls from Stornoway and Ness. We all stayed in halls of residence, with one pay phone in the entrance hall. It was lovely to hear them speaking their first language when they phoned home. Happy memories. I hope to find some longer videos of you, and hope you're still out there performing ❤

This is quite a jazz/blues piece a departure from your Scottish folk repertoire, and a different direction in many respects. I guess as an entertainer in the world of show business you must play what sells, though some things are sacred and leaves you in a dilemma as an artistic performer who has to make a living. I will keep reading the good book, though St Paul's letter to Timothy has a more constrained attitude to the role of women within a relationship.
Thanks for your message 😍🙏 a lot of my personal songs come out very varied in style .. but they are not written to sell.. they just are what they are 🤗 sometimes very traditional and celtic but as often bluesy / jazzy/ Jewish/ contemporary etc… lol I’m in Romans at the moment.
